Making screen savers
You use the same Control Panel/System Preference to set your screen saver as you do to make wallpaper.
On Windows
Navigate to your Control Panels (Start⇒Settings⇒Control Panel)
Open the Display control panel, but this time select the "Screen Saver" tab.
Use the drop-down to select "My Pictures Slideshow".
This will use every picture in your "My Pictures" folder. If you want to use a specific folder instead, select "Settings".

In the dialog that appears, use the "Browse" button to select a different folder.
On Macintosh
Go back to the "Desktop & Screen Saver" system preference and select the "Screen Saver" tab.

Use list on the left to find the folder you want. If it's not in the list, select "Choose Folder..." to find it.
Once you've selected a folder of images to use as your screen saver, select the "Options" button and play around with how the images are displayed.

My images look bad
The most common problem with images in the screen saver is that they look fuzzy. this happens because the screen saver stretches out small pictures so they fill the screen. If your image is too small, it won't look good when it's stretched and you'll need to use another image.
If your image is too dark or has color problems, the "Preparing images for the screen" tutorials will show you how to fix that.
